Prof. Marwa Abdallah

Marwa Abdallah, MD, is a Professor of Dermatology, Venereology and Andrology, Ain Shams University (ASU), Cairo, Egypt.

Head of the Phototherapy Unit since 2006 and Head of Vitiligo Clinic since 2015- to date. Marwa Abdallah and her family have a private Dermatology Clinic (Cutis, The Skin Clinic) since 1999. Since 1997, vitiligo became her passion and is currently board member of the Egyptian Vitiligo Society Marwa’s other fields of interests are lasers , phototherapy and pigmentary disorders.

She co-authored in a number of Dermatology Textbooks (Bolognia’s Dermatology, Moschella and Hurly, Pigmented Ethnic Skin and Imported Dermatoses) and has more than 50 national and international publications.
On international levels, she has participated as a speaker and chaired sessions at the EADV, AAD, GVF (global vitiligo foundation) and VIS (vitiligo international symposium) conferences.
As a secreatary general of ESAD/Sharmderma, she arranged and participated a good number of its meetings in the last 15 years.

Prof. Chee Leok Goh

Prof. Goh Chee Leok is currently Senior Consultant Dermatologist Clinical Professor of the Faculty of Medicine of the National University of Singapore. He was the Medical Director of the National Skin Centre, Singapore between 1990 and 2004.

His special interests are in Aesthetic and Cutaneous Lasers procedures, Acne related disorders, Contact and Occupational Dermatitis, Dermatological and Laser Surgery and Medical Informatics. He is a member of the International Contact Dermatitis Research Group. He was past president of the Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery of Singapore and also past president of the Environmental and Occupational Dermatology Society of Singapore. He has published more than 300 scientific publications in peer reviewed journals.

Prof. Thierry Passeron

Thierry Passeron is Professor and chair of Dermatology in the University hospital of Nice.

He also heads the laboratory INSERM U1065 team 12, C3M, dedicated to the study of molecular mechanisms involved in pigmentation and melanoma. He heads the University laser center in Nice. He is president of the Department of Clinical Research and Innovation of Nice University hospital and vice-president of Côte d’Azur University.

He has 12 international patents and more than 340 publications in scientific journals (h-index 55). He is the co-founder of YUKIN therapeutics. His fields of research include pigmentary disorders (including vitiligo and melasma), melanoma, hidradenitis suppurativa, alopecia areata and lasers.

Dr. CARINE MAINZER

Dr. Carine Mainzer is a skin biologist specialized in inflammatory skin diseases applied to the field of dermo-cosmetic. She is currently scientific affairs manager at Isispharma.
Dr. Mainzer obtained her Ph.D. from the University of Lyon (France) in 2014 where her thesis work focused on the involvement of the insulin-like growth factor (IGF)-1 on epidermal differentiation and aging. 

She completed her experience with a postdoctoral scholarship in the Department of Dermatology at University of California San Francisco under the supervision of Dr. Peter Elias and Dr. Yoshikazu Uchida, where her work focused on the communication between inflammatory and cutaneous cells under bacterial challenges.
She has been involved with the cosmetic industry for several years now, working notably with Johnson & Johnson Consumer France, Natura, and Silab in various positions attached to the R&D department. Her current position offers her the opportunity to continue applying her scientific expertise to the dermo-cosmetic field and help find relevant treatment solutions for patients.
